“Early in my career, I was an investigative television reporter in South America. I was in front of the camera reporting the news of Peru’s new presidency, which included topics of terrorism and extreme poverty. I interviewed hooded terrorists who saw the media as a bridge to communicate their issues to those in power. My focus was on accuracy and truth in reporting. Journalistic integrity became my hallmark. I enjoyed my work so I chose to move to the United States to advance my career.
Once here, I met my husband who had a video production company. After starting our family, I realized it would be hard to continue news reporting so I began working with him, spending time filming behind the camera. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I began doing some producing and directing.
The freedom that I felt by handling a camera, directing, and producing is when I realized the potential to express my own views. The freedom to choose the frame, the light, and the story felt right. It was a beautiful discovery for me.
Eventually, I founded my own production company. Telling a story well is a fascinating process that allows great creative freedom.
I feel as though I’ve come full circle. What began as investigative reporting has turned into creating exceptional visual solutions that bring stories to life with great vision and inspiration.”
